Modelling Network-Enabled C2 using Multiple Agents and Social Networks

This paper describes work in progress in developing an architecture for Command & Control systems based on an empirical model of the military commander’s thinking processes. It shows how social network constructs could be added to a multi-agent system to model network-enabled capabilities in a complex, real-world domain, using the events of September 11, 2001, as a case study. Areas for further research are identified.
